The Color Challenge: My First Post! Sepia!

Hi all,

Many, many thanks for all those who have kept up with messages, thoughts and gifts while I’ve been on hiatus for school.  This semester was the first time I’ve doubled my courseload, so it was absolutely exhausted! In an effort to get back to blogging, I’ve decided to get back to blogging by starting out with Luna’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge.

 

I’m excited, but to maintain the original goal of Suri Alex Style, I promise to include the latest group gifts, freebies and fun in my posts–so an extra challenge for me as I compile these outfits.  This week’s freebies are Belleza’s new group gift skin as well as a December Group Gift pair of earrings (not very visible) that are color change pearls from Dark Mouse.  Keep an eye out for more posts and treats from me!

Bax Coen and MudHoney New Releases!

I have two new releases to share with you all today, first Bax Coen, legendary for their fabulous boots has released a new texture in their prestige line–Suede! I was really excited to be given the chance to review these gorgeous boots.  They follow Coen’s classic lines and customization, and four juicy shades of red to boot (no pun intended).  Next, I wanted to highlight the new photoble at Mudhoney, like her other work its absolutely glam and fantastic, her building skills are impeccable not to mention her great eye for interiors.  “Rogue Getaway” proves to be just that, a nice soothing escape while you take some pictures alone, or with your significant other.  In the pictures below you’ll see three of the female single poses, but there are also single male poses, and couple poses!  ❤ it.

Next I wanted to direct your attention to the (Kunglers) free gift.  It’s in notices, and $50L to join.  I’m wearing it here as a top. February Weddings (and honeymoons!)

It’s offically the month of love and like clockwork there are often a lot of proposals, weddings, and generally pairings in the month of passion.  Today I have a goregous new release to share with you from Gracie’s Bridal.  I love the one shoulder look, I think its chic and sophisticated.  Rightfully so, the rest of the gown is kept simple, and I really like that.  The gown also came with a veil, but I’m not really a hugely traditional person as far as weddings go–I always opt for a sparkly headband, a flower, or some other ornament in my hair in favor, I’m glad that this came with both options.

The lingerie are both new releases from a collaboration of [KA] Designs and OMFG! I’m really excited about these because they were sweet and delicate confectionery goodness, but still appropriate for your honeymoon treats. I’m so over the slutty lingerie for honeymoons, these are so tasteful and delicate, I love it! Other treats listed below (so Harper won’t yell at me! LOL).

Two Free Dresses at Digit Darkes

Back to School

So Tuesday was my first day back to school and work in about a month!  I know, I use to have a friend who said she loved the real world better than school.  Sorry, nothing beats a month off, no matter how much you rationalize!…and I know once I start work in the ‘real world’ a month off will be unreasonable…so I’m enjoying every bit of it!  In any case, as I pull my backpack back out of the closet and started my classes today, I decided to put together a little back to school look. This is a little fun get-up I’d wear to class (now if only it got a little warmer!).

A few treats I wanted to highlight in this post.  First, this SYSY sweater comes in several jewel tone colors for you to enjoy.  You can wear it with the matching scarf or with the belt sash, both are equally enticing.  2nd, make sure you grab glasses at one of my favorite eyewear stores on the grid–prim optic.  I always love that these give me the option to wear my glasses in my hair too.  Also the hair is one of the freebies that came with the Smoke curly hair from Analog Dog.  I tinted it darker brown, but its a great freebie! Whenever your looking for simple jewelery that matches a lot of things look no further than AHC, these hoop earrings are a staple in my wardrobe! Don’t forget your skirt, and how could you with this adorable corduroy mini, perfect alone or with leggings.  This adorable skirt comes in several colors, taupe shown here, is one of my favorites for its versatility and my ability to wear it virtually year round because of the coloring.  As always, a constant companion in my inventory the dollarbies from puddles, this is the NYC briefcase a dollarbie in-store.  Ok…before you go…don’t forget Kalnins…the shoes come with huds so you can change up with your outfits …the possibilities are almost endless. Now talk about getting your lindens worth! Enjoy!
