This week’s color assigned by Luna was Silver and I admit it was a little more challenging that I thought–only because my favorite tone of silver is more of a gunmetal…I wonder if that’s a future color?!

Happy New Year Everyone!

For this post I employed my RL classmate and independent study partner (in-world known as Gardy Mavendorf), to help me with my Phoenix Rising post.  Thank you again Danial for sending the suit to him! “The Sinful Suit,” is a new piece created by Daniel Guisse of Phoenix Rising to compliment some of the gorgeous ladies wear that the store is legendary for.  The Sinful suit comes with a sexy undone tie (in red or in a tintable version) that is perfect for an evening out.  The suit is constructed with detailed buttons and excellent texturing right down to the cuffs of the jacket.

When I was looking through the store for a nice contrasting dress to Gardy’s suit I was torn between a new red creation and this gorgeous white gown.  Being that Black and White are two of my favorite colors, I had to choose this one! What I love about this gown is that you can wear it for most formal occasions without it looking like a wedding dress, though it would certainly work for wedding occassions as well. Another excellent detail on this dress is the goregeous eyelet detailing that provides an stunning comparison to the silver-lined bodice.

Jewelry is also by Phoenix Rising, its located right next to the vendor for the dress.  I also wanted to highlight the shoes I’m wearing (even though you can’t see them!) they were created exclusively by Nardya of  NX-Nardcotix.  If you’ve seen some of my previous posts, they are among some of my favorite shoes on the grid.  These are a perfect combination of silver and white.  While Nardcotix is currently closed for remodeling, many of Nardya’s shoes are available for purchase in Phoenix Rising next to their respective outfits.

ah its that time of year when we’re all bustling around.  This year was especially busy for me with my graduation on Friday plus the massive amounts of christmas shopping I’ve been trying to get done…I’m a bit exhausted already!  This year has been really enjoyable, and I’m happy to close out 2009 with lots of great friends (and well some people that I’ve lost…good riddance right?).

I have two special pictures for you, first my Nice photo.  Skin was the delicious new release from {paperdoll} .  I paired with a few of my favorites from Phoenix Rising as well.  The tease jewelry is bold but elegant, with just the right amount of sparkle.  Next, the Phoenix Rising outfit “Motive” in Red, is perfectly festive for all of your holiday parties and gatherings.  To top off my festive attire I slid on a pair of the new T-strap Plaid pumps by Nardcotix. The texturing on these is phenomenal and reminded me of a pair that Britney Spears wore in a recent video (Defintely a win!) by shoe mastermind Christian Louboutin.

So this holiday 2009 season begs the question… Were you Nice?

Or were you a little naughty?! (For my naughty readers, here is a special picture for you!) You don’t want to miss out on this offer!

I’ve always fancied peacocks. Peacocks, often known for their gorgeous plumage, and resilient attitude are seen as both intoxicatingly beautiful and even a little cocky. In fact, IRL, I use the icon of a peacock feather on all of my letter heads, business cards and even my resume. Confident or cocky I’m not sure, but the their is a certain enigmatic quality to peacock that has pervaded throughout history.

When this clever bird’s shiny iridescent feathers are combined in fashion, the duo share an even more explosive bounty. In this look I have combined two winning dresses by Phoenix Rising. The first dress “Frilled” really inspired me to use my white peacock, a generous gift from wildlife designer Jahna Bing.  I’m in love with the layers of confectionary elegance stacked in this dress. It conveys both an antiquated southern charm mixed with a contemporary modern feel.  This dress also comes in several layers, so you can wear it lots of ways!

ah the lovely traditional peacock.  Vibrant, royal in its palette and truly a sight for the eyes to feast on.  This curve hugging creation by Phoenix Rising hits all the right notes with its rich colors and saturated hues.  Whether hosting a fabulous party or taking a spin on the dance floor, this dress is guaranteed to both excite and entice fellow onlookers.

A big thanks to Ashoka Eales for passing me the Phoenix treats!
