Hi! Thanks for taking a chance to read about who I am! My name is Suri Alex and I’m an avatar in the virtual meta-verse Second Life. I’m 25 years old and I attend graduate school in the United States. I also am a published author & scholar, and I’m currently working on a book chapter on avatar creation and identity through the lens of visual rhetoric for a novel titled “Challenging the Virtual: Women’s Cultural Experiences in Second Life.”
In-world I spend my time crafting fashion reviews and styling outfits and shopping! I started blogging May 2009, so this blog is kind of a journey through my looks and my development in Second Life. Using an inspiration of RL Haute Couture from the likes of Madame Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Stella McCartney, I try to find ways to combine and embed my foundational knowledge in fashion to create new and exciting ways to look at virtual identities. When not photographing for blog posts and picking up fantastic freebies, I spend my time enjoying friends, and saying things I shouldn’t.
I hope you all enjoy my blog, its filled with tips, tricks and styles that I’m inspired by. I try to make my look a mix of a “high and low” with both free and non-free pieces. I would say I’m flexible in my style but gravitate to tried and true basics with extra special styling. Please keep the comments coming and letting me know what you think! I really enjoy hearing from all of you!

Hi,
Im Paul Emery in rl and am excited to find someone that not only knows rl Oldtown but also understands and is skilled in doing things in SL as you obviously are. I live in GR now but lived in Lansing/oldtown 25 years (was one of the people that got the renovation started) and still own 2 bldgs there.I hope to get the businesses in rl oldtown interested in promoting the model.
I dont know how you feel about keeping rl and sl separate. I gave up on the separation because i am interested in connecting the two up. Please let me know if and how you might want to participate in moving this forward.
I think that in 5 years or so most businesses that now have a web site will also have some sort of virtural world precsence. And most computer literat people will have an avatar.
Let me know what you think.
thanks Casias/Pau
